Which is the best Air Conditioning system to buy for our House?

Hello,
We just found today that our AC system is toast and we need to get a new AC system to replace it with.
And just of course as we are heading into the Summer Months with Temperature today at 85 with inside of our House at 85 :(

Anyway, Our House is 3000 Sft on 2 levels, this broken AC is for the upper floor.
And the AC repair guy that was here today suggested a system by Lenox that is 15 Seers and costs like $4,500.00

What do you all suggest as the best Air Conditioning system to buy in todays market?
