Which Caribbean Islands offer the Best Value?

Hello All,
Me and my wife are interested to take a Vacation to a Caribbean Island, for the period of like Dec/28 through Jan/5th. And we absolutely would like to have an Ocean view in a Modern Hotel.
I searched some of the top places such as Cayman and Aruba and the rates are crazy expensive, like avg of $700 per Night! Ouuuuch :(
So we were wondering Which Caribbean Islands offer the Best Value for these dates and as per our specifications? FYI, our budget is tops $250 per Night.
