Randomly reading the Bible, is it okay?

After searching online about this topic, I was surprised to find a lot of Christians condemning other people for randomly reading the Bible.

By the term, "randomly" I mean opening up your Bible and choosing a random Bible Book and Chapter. Let's say by doing this, I ended up in Psalm 91.

In your opinion, Do you think that God can still speak to us by doing this? Or should we be confined to reading the Bible using various reading plans, etc.
