What can we do to Stop Killing of Cats & Dogs in China for food?

Typical person or Country considers even hurting Cats & Dogs to be despicable and disgusting and in fact in many Western Countries you will be Jailed if you hurt a Cat or Dog.
However in China, they Kill Cats & Dogs for Food. As you can see here:

How can this be? What can we do to Stop this sick sick despicable and disgusting act?
Why doesnt the Big Media cover this extreme height of cruelty to Animals and ask US, UK, German, etc. Governments and Public opinion to get the Chinese Government to Stop this or else?
