Wordpress: html editor dissappeared

hi, when editing or creating a page in wordpress there are normally 2 tabs in which to put text, one is called the visual editor which is more technical, the other is html editor where you can change the heading, make it bold, italic and so on. So for some reason, the html editor tab has dissappeared, how do I get it back?

I was playing with the settings before so it may be because of that but I don't remember what I did to make it dissappear. Theme I'm using is Twenty Ten. thanks.

Sounds like a possible file corruption. Just perform a WordPress update if you have not already updated to the latest wordpress.

if you want to turn the Visual Editor back on go to Users (in the left column when you are logged into your blog), click on Your Profile, look for Personal Options and uncheck the box that says Disable the visual editor when writing

Sounds like your Theme or the Word Press Install has become corrupted. Try deleting theme then reinstalling it. You may have to copy your site to a fresh word press install to fix. Try Theme first.

I think you made changes in your profiles setting >>
$website URL $ /wp-admin/profile.php

There you able to find Profile
>> Personal Options
>> Uncheck Visual Editor { If you check it , this is your problem , by check it , its disable your visual editor }
