Good evening from Scotland. This is a subject which I've seen come up time and time again in Christians circles and one I've only thought about recently, as it was mentioned in a previous debate. Now, I'm no great expert on The End Times as such however, I do have the basic knowledge of OT Prophecy/NT Revelations as well as I'd say, a good handle on the scriptures as a whole so I tend to be a little wary of bold statements about 'the end is nigh'. I received a Christian letter titled "The UK is coming to an end" with numerous scriptures (most taken out of context) as well as citing examples from what we see around the world today, matching things up to formulate a 'revelation from God'. I have to say, due to some of the uncompromising word of Christ like, 'no man knows', I struggle to put any real weight behind what many say. So my question is, has every generation thought the same? I feel I know some of the answer but as always a debate seems to yield far more knowledge so I hope this to be a good subject to discuss.
