According to two verses in Revelation and one in Jeremiah, Jesus, and by extension God, hates Christmas. Christmas supplants Jesus' teachings with false teachings. Jesus hates lies.
Jesus wouldn't care about Christmas being commercial. I don't know what they do now but in Biblical times it was not A Jewish custom to celebrate birthdays. There are only 2 birthdays in the bible that of Pharos in the beginning of the bible and that of King Herod in the Gospels. Ask your self why? The origin of the birthday celebrations was saturated in pagan teachings and involved the realm of magic/occultism. This means that Jesus and the first century Christians did not celebrate the birthday. Did they conclude that Pharoes birthday was centuries ago in the Hebrew scripture and that now that we're in the modern day and everybody else does it God does not mind? God is looking for those who are are willing to obey him even in his absence. That is the true test of heart. If you don't agree with these histrical facts do me a favor and find some that proves that God does not mind the birthday celebration and show me scriptures too. The day you do that I will celebrate my next birthday
I think, Jesus would enjoy support of the Holy Catholic Church. It all goes into the taxes and therefore sustainability of society and individual human beings would help. Praising God and care needs material life opportunities. Therefore, for sustainability and preservation it is nice and good to choose nice gifts, thoughtfully. Jesus is love.
I don't think he would be pleased. After all, in Christianity, the greatest gift of all is salvation. It would probably honor him more if people gave their life over to the faith than turning Christmas into something materialistic.
