We are glad to inform you of an expansion to the "People "Powered" aspect of AnooX. Whereas previously YOU could change the AnooX search results by Voting a listing Up under a given Keyword's search results, you can now optimize the AnooX search results by Voting a listing Down as well as by Voting to mark it as Spam for removal.

Vote Down works similar as Vote Up, except of course for the intent which is to move a listing Down in the rankings rather than Up. So as before the majority Vote of the People will determine the rankings of the listings under a given Keyword, based on the total number of Votes that the listings have received. But now with the Vote Down being in place, the number of Votes that a listing has received will be the number of Up votes that it has received less the number of Down Votes that it has received.

This type of Voting works differently than Vote Up or Down, due to the fact that its results are more drastic than with Vote Up or Down since it results in the removal of the listing from under a given Keyword or even from the entire AnooX search engine. Hence usually a single Spam vote does not result in the removal of a listing, but a listing must receive a series of Spam votes to be removed from under a Keyword and it must receive an even higher number of Spam Votes until it is BlackListed and totally removed from AnooX search engine. The exact number of Spam Votes that will result in the removal of a listing varies from Keyword to Keyword as it is determined by a special algorithm which takes into account many factors: ranging from the number of listings under that Keyword, to whether the listing has received up Votes, to how many clicks it has received, etc.

People's Vote to optimize the AnooX search results are taken into account as before, that is every 15 minutes. This means then that within a mere 15 minutes after YOU Vote to change AnooX search results, your Vote along with all other Votes issued during that previous 15 minutes will be taken into account and will be reflected in the AnooX search results.
