We think after reading it you will see why there is a need for urgent action to "take the web back" from those who want a few giant companies to dominate it, and why you should get involved with AnooX Community to take the Web back for the benefit of yourself and your community.

There is something terribly wrong with the current state of the Web where a handful of search engine monopolies are taking over near total control of all information and commerce on-line. They have done this by entering business after business and putting their business interests ahead of the Web community. Consider the fact that in the last few years Google or Yahoo have entered into the following businesses: World news, on-line dating, video sharing, payment processing, web site hosting, real estate listings, travel, job listings, auto sales, etc. etc. etc.. Consequently, their search results have become biased toward their many business interests and their paid listings have become ever more expensive since of course they out-bid any other Advertiser because after all, they are paying themselves. As a result your freedom to find what you are looking for as a search engine user, and your ability to sell as an Advertiser are continuously being eroded & made more expensive by these search engine monopolies taking more and more of the value of the Web for themselves rather than allowing you to benefit from it.
