Where do people go when they die?

Many religions teach an array of traditions and customs from reincarnation to entering into another realm. Should we put our trust into traditions and customs?

In the tradition of Buddhism, when a person dies, his soul will head to one of the six great divisions in the wheel of karma according to his karma. Only those who have achieved enlightenment could escape from it and enter the eternal world.

Well I would love this version of this eternal question to be true as well. But as per Obama having been bigger War monger than Bush and Trump being even bigger Warmonger than Obama, such as threatening to Kill 25 Million people in North Korea while giving Billions to Israel; I am afraid Satanic forces have control of US media Gov,which means Buddha or Christ etc are not relevant

To understand where people go when they die is to first understand where we came from. According to Jewish scriptures in Genesis 1:26 God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:. Before that act mankind only exist in God. Just like now before you were born you only exist in your ancestors. Genesis 2:7 then tells us how God did it.” Then the LORD God formed a man[c]from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being”. From this we can see that God made the body of man from the earth. To have an idea of what that look like you can take a look at a lifeless corpse of a dead individual. Then the text states that God take something from Himself and place it in the lifeless corpse and man became a living being. When we die the reverse happens, the lifeless body returns to the earth where it came from and the breath or consciousness return to God who gave it. When Christ died on the cross he ... cont

. When Christ died on the cross he demonstrated this fact. He said in Luke 23:46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”[e] When he had said this, he breathed his last. Without the body and the Spirit or consciousness man does not exit. When we die our consciousness, soul, breath, spirit, whatever you want to call it, return to God who puts it in storage until the resurrection

Two scripture I would like to consider. 1) “In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Genesis 3:19)

2) Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, (John 5:28)

If the dead aren't dead, then there would be need of a Resurrection as Jesus taught.

“In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Genesis 3:19)

“For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5)

“ Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice  and come out,” (John 5:28)

“And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Rev 21:4) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJjUt332u0w

The Greek philosopher Socrates once said the following: "THE QUALITY OF OUR BEHAVIOR, DURING OUR TRANSIENT LIFE, WILL DETERMINE WHERE WE WILL SPEND ETERNITY WHEN WE DIE."

Greetings, Prophet - Peace to you and yours! Tell me, was Socrates a Prophet of the Bible, or a Philosopher of ideas? If you are a historian, then you know that in Socrates' time, there was a common belief among people of his day in an after life as well as an underworld! Therefore, it is unremarkable that Socrates would have explained it just as he did. Peace!!

It is clear that from that statement that Socrates was NOT Born Again.
Whether you are Born Again or not determines where you spend eternity.

You Must Become Born Again!

Dear "Okinawa 1985",
Thank you for your query.
The ancient Greeks, and ancient Egyptians, believed in the "AFTER LIFE, THE HUMAN SOUL, AND THE ALMIGHTY CREATOR.
According to the "INTERNET ENCYCLOPEDIA OF PHILOSOPHY", Socrates died in 400 BC.
Like Jesus, he left no writings of his own. All his quotes were written by a few ancient authors.
Kind regards,
John Romer

The dead will be resurrected. "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." (Acts 24:15) "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" (John 5:28) "hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works."
