Fortunately, Christianity has embraced all the races of the world. As a result, it is not unusual to see icons, pictures, videos, and statues, of Jesus looking like a typical Anglo Saxon, a Southern European, a Latin American, or an African. These variations can be very confusing, and frustrating, to children who get their visual, and mental, stimulation from illustrated religious books. Those children would love to know exactly what Jesus looked like.
As we all know, children have a vivid imagination; but it requires some authentic inputs to activate it, and make it work usefully.
Please imagine a hypothetical situation, whereby, a famous Archaeologist discovers a first century mosaic bearing the name of Jesus Christ.
The mosaic picture clearly shows a short man with big brown eyes, brown skin, fat lips, dark hair, and a hooked nose.
Would such a discovery disillusion and disappoint the majority of Christians?
