After more than 10 Years of Web coding, I sincerely believe that if you want to develop a Web site, App, etc. that is fast to create, easier to debug and maintain, and more secure, that you should avoid all the new buzzword Frameworks and code in vanilla JavaScript, CSS and AJAX and Node.js if you need Websockets.
Because Frameworks, such as Anglular React VU etc., are an abstraction over somebody else's idea of what a website or a program ought to be. It's not your idea, it's not your product - it's theirs and it's limiting your creativity. You take a risk whenever you bring in 3rd party code. This risk is reduced with tried and tested libraries/frameworks, but never truly eliminated. If you can get away with writing code yourself or with your team, you can reduce that risk and maintain a codebase that you know in and out.
So if I am in charge of any project, I would say if you want it fast, easy to maintain and much more secure, AVOID all Frameworks.
