The scriptures tell us that we are to love one another, and to love GOD with everything we've got. But it's the Psalmist, probably David, who implores us to “O you who love the LORD, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.” (Psalm 97:10) So, then, if Satan is the personification of EVIL, would it be improper for me to say “Satan, I hate you?”
Jesus also said, “You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you'” (Matthew 5:43-44) Satan surely is our enemy, therefore, should these things apply to him as well? I have my reasons for saying NO! What would you say?
