The Great Tribulation is the conclusion of the 'Last Days'. (Daniel 12:1-2) It will affect everyone on the earth. (Ezekiel 38 & 39)

Events during the great tribulation as the 'Last Days' are brought to their Finish.
- Destruction of false religion. The political powers represented by the United Nations will carry out God’s will in taking this action.—Revelation 17:3, 15-18.

- Attack on true religion. Since religion itself will soon be abolished. Gog will soon attack God's Named People. —Ezekiel 38:9-12.

- Judgment of earth’s inhabitants. The basis for his judgment will be the support, or lack of support, that each person gave to Jesus’ “brothers,” those who will rule with him in heaven.—Matthew 25:34-46.

- Gathering of Kingdom rulers. Faithful ones who have been chosen to rule with Christ will finish their earthly course and be resurrected to life in heaven.—Matthew 24:31; 1 Corinthians 15:50-53; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17.

- Armageddon. This “war of the great day of God the Almighty” is also called “the day of Jehovah.” (Revelation 16:14, 16; Isaiah 13:9; 2 Peter 3:12)

- This will include the destruction of the worldwide political system, pictured in the Bible by a seven-headed wild beast.—Revelation 19:19-21.

It has mention in the book of Revelations of tribulation, and great tribulation. Here is a point that you should esteem, God does not do tribulation. But tribulation exists, just like birth pains exist. When God's judgments are in the earth the people learn righteousness. When God's judgments are in the earth tribulation also manifests. God's judgment is for you, to free you from the hold of the sinful man or nature and to free from the thinking of man.

When God's word comes to do this work, there can be a feeling of tribulation. The beast and the false prophet in revelations are equated with the sinful man and the thinking of man. It is a time of separation of flesh and spirit. At God's word the place for the sinful man and the thinking of man is the lake of fire, so your attachment to these will cause screaming, though this is not to be feared if your trust is in the blood of Jesus.

This false prophet is the spokesman for the sinful man, when God comes to the house (which is you) the way to silence these two is to get the word of God to be the be ruler in your mind and spend much time in Gods presence. (The angel of His presence saved them).
It is a time to do away with doctrines of speculation and to enter the fight of your life for the manifestation of the promises of God in your life.

You can let the beast and the false prophet take you to their destiny or you can yield to God and let Him take you to your real destiny that is not a lie.
God's promises are for you to enter, Peter said that judgment first comes to the household of God, it is to bring each one into their personal promise land, and then it extends to all.

A judgmental spirit will be a hindrance to many and as the furnace in the earth comes to increase it will scream loud, it is a time to subdue it, because mercy will come to those that are merciful.

It dependsvon how you interpret scriptue as to what you believe the great tribulation is whether you interpret revelation literally or symbolically whether you use a historical contextual hermeneutic or you simply eisegete the text .sorry but most people have only studied dispensationalism which only came about with darby in the 1830. I listen to these futurists who predict doom and gloom the end of the world the apocalypse armeggedon and I think you loony tunes it was all about AD 70 and the enf of the old covenant study partial preterism if you wang to understand the bible better thats correct eschatology

Loony tunes?

The great tribulation has not come yet, and the evidence for that is Jesus has not come
back yet, and He hasn't ruled for 1,000 years.

It has already been almost 2,000 years, and if the tribulation had happened at 70 AD then Jesus would have already ruled this earth for 1,000 years.

JESUS HAS NOT RETURNED YET, SO THE 7 YEAR TRIBULATION HASN'T COME YET!

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

Matthew 24:27,28,29 (KJV)
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

The great tribulation is a 7 year period that has NOT come yet.
Some teach that the great tribulation is a 3.5 period near the end of the tribulation, but they are wrong.

There has been tribulation, since Jesus went to Heaven in fleshly form, but the great tribulation has NOT come yet.
The beast has to be revealed, and his revelation is the start of the great tribulation.
The beast (antichrist) will make a 7 year covenant with Israel, and this angers God and starts the 7 year tribulation.
The great tribulation will affect the entire world, not just a select few, and not just Israel.

I wrote a short story in 2011 that talks about the End of Days, including the great tribulation.
I have also added commentary and scriptures to back up the story.

WHY ARE WE STILL HERE LORD?

It is NOT dispensationalism.
It is scriptural.
It is NOT "newish" theology either.
Just to let you know.

The next major Biblical event is the antichrist being revealed, which starts the 7 year tribulation.

ANYONE who teaches that the great tribulation has already happened are MISTAKEN, or they are blatant liars and deceivers.

The great tribulation has not come yet, and the evidence for that is Jesus has not come back yet, and He hasn't ruled for 1,000 years.

Think MORE, SaintlyMic: Use your GOD-given ability to reason from scriptures. Think in terms of verse 22, Matthew 24. If this scripture is accurate in that "And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved:" Would it be logical to believe that 7-years is a short time? Peace!

Seven years IS a short time, and that's the beauty of it, if there could be any beauty about the tribulation.
Another beauty is people are going to get saved & Born Again during the tribulation!

THE DAYS OF THE TRIBULATION ARE SHORT!

Matthew 24:22
Mark 13:20
Romans 9:28
Revelation 12:12
Revelation 17:10
