What is the best way to do a sales pitch online? How do you really get people to click and then purchase from your website? Any feedback would be great!
Any specific wording or headline ideas is great too!
Thanks so much!
Have a very user friendly Site.
Advertise under Keywords specific to your Site.
Be active on Social networks, by answering member questions, such as I am doing for you.
Remember: There is NO Free Lunch. And NO pain NO gain.
Regardless of how flexible your item or administration, you can't hope to offer it to everybody. Each item or administration has an objective market, a gathering of individuals who are prone to buy it. Little entrepreneurs ought to spend the greater part of their advertising endeavors speaking to that objective business sector. Else, they essentially squander their time endeavoring to induce the individuals who have no need or yearning for what they are offering. Making a business sector focusing on proposal, or deciding your objective business sector, is a standout amongst the most essential strides you ought to take before beginning a business. You ought to likewise intermittently reassess your objective business sector as your business changes.
YES! Thank you so much! I totally agree! I do have a target market for my products and services :D
I will keep that in mind for reassessing too .. interesting, never thought of that part :D Thanks again!
IMHO, the real secret to success in sales is to have Empathy with your potential customer. That is you need to understand your customers’ wants and needs, their challenges and problems, so you can help them in the best possible way. So how do you gain this kind of understanding?
By asking questions. Ask them about their work. Ask them about their situation. Do this until you know what they care about and understand what they need. Only then should you try to sell them your solution, if it is the right solution for them based on their Answers.
Best way to do a sales pitch online is basically knowing what your target audience want...ie the solution they need from your product or service and you relating or communicating it back to them in their language.
eg you are a Ophthalmologists and instead of you to use eye specialist to your target audience.
Make it simple
Use BIG font Headlines that describe your product in one sentence.
Make your call to action BOLD and provide a sense of urgency eg limited time offer or one time offer or buy now get this free, incentives and freebies go a long way too to convert.
Do a user experience test prior selling online.
Do a A/B split testing of your landing page.
if you have the time I did like you to consider reading this post
and for tools to execute the points above read this for understanding
cf, well if you are starting in business, then of course providing actual customer References is going to be not possible. But you could provide a list of Beta Testers whom tried your product or service on Free Beta basis and provide their feedback. Also your idea of giving some free stuff is always a good idea.
But of course that depends on what you are selling!
Great! Thanks so much! I am selling online personal development courses, business training online and holistic training such as aromatherapy and herbal medicine :D I am going to get some people to do the Beta Test with my courses and exchange them for feedback :D Thanks again!
cf, I should also add, specially when you are getting started, where you have little or no track record, customer refs, etc., to use to hence have a sales pitch, then Advertising is one option you must consider, and in fact I would say that a new business that does not spend at least 10% of their projected 1st year revenues on Advertising upfront, will never become a real business. On that note, this Anoox offers lowest & best Advertising, since t is a not-for-profit social media & search.
Yes, I totally agree with jobo_jodie. That is if you are starting in business, you must have an Advertising budget and use this budget not to just promote your product/service, but get a better understanding of your Customers and their Needs. And I agree also with jj that this Anoox offers bar-none the best value for Advertising to small businesses. I mean if you got multi-Million Ad budget, then go Google, but if you are like typical small biz, then Anoox Advertising cant be beat.
WOW! Thanks so much for this amazing information from all of you!
I definitely am a small biz lol so I will check out Anoox for sure! I do have a marketing plan in place and definitely need to figure out a budget. Any recommendations on what the minimum monthly marketing budget should be for the first year? Just an average would be great! I know there are many expensive advertising companies out there... Thanks so much to all!
It really depends on what you are selling and what your market is, but a good rule of thumb for any online business is to make sure that people can find your product or service by using good on page SEO practices (call to action, headers, description, etc) (see list below). A well built, responsive, visually appealing, and easy to navigate website with exciting information about why your product or service is the best product or service *IS* your sales pitch, so make it count. Spending the time to elaborate about the details of your product or service on a webpage will go a long way toward selling it to someone online - just like a personal face to face sales pitch where you would describe it in detail to your potential customer.
I won't go into the details about on page SEO because the internet is bursting with plenty of info, but the basics to make sure that you have in place are (Google these SEO terms):
1. Call to Action Buttons
2. Description (Keywords)
3. Header Tags (Keywo
Thank you so much for your responses! I am grateful and will do as you said! I have been working on learning more about SEO and Keyword search.. and I will revamp my website as well. I hear backlinks are good for getting your site boosted as well? is this true? and also, are paid ads worth the money? I tried them before and had nothing! but I also didn't know anything about keywords then either lol Thanks again!
