Do you think AI may threaten Humans?

There has been many articles recently about AI (Artificial Intelligence), may replace many Jobs or even threaten Humans existence. Here is one such article:

So if AI Machines may become so intelligence to threaten Humans! Doesnt that make us GOD for having created these AI machines. And can then we not argue that AI Machines as the beings we have created cannot threaten us the GOD who created them!
