What do you think about free hosting services?

There are a lot of differences between paid and free hosting services, but some hosting providers offer a free hosting service which worth a try. For example: i use myself the services provided by ** one ** and i'm very pleased with it.
What do you think about using free hosting services to begin in Internet World and which hosting providers do you recommend?

Free hosting services might be a good way of learning your way around hosting services. You must understand that your choices are extremely limited and sometimes you are required to purchase a domain from the same company. Unfortunately you would miss out on some of the benefits of managing your own hosting account and for the most SEO is pretty much out of the picture. For simple blogs or family type websites then a free hosting account might be the way to go, but if you are serious about a real hosting account then you should look at low cost (high quality) web hosting. The cost of hosting these days is relatively inexpensive, around $5 a month for unlimited storage, bandwidth, etc.

Yes, unless you are running a Postcard type Site, you should never ever run your Site on any so called Free Site provider, since the Free Sites are then under NO obligation at all to provide you with any Guaranteed up time, or any real support and you have most limited access to such server that is hosting this Site. So if you are a lil Child or a Granny, or hosting a business card, then Free Site providers are ok, otherwise avoid them like plague.

Well, for a time free web hosting seems good, when we just focused on a voucher site. Normally there is noting to do with voucher site except publishing some content. When we go for a business website, free hosting not worth it. daily updating of content, big traffic and more importantly absence never properly never support free host. Probably free host publish forced ads on different part of your website which you would never able to remove. Its affect your site worth and control as well.
A reliable web host is mandatory for your business website smooth operation.

Yes, I totally agree. Free Hosting places are maybe Ok for a childish Site. For a someone who wants to put a Web page up about some subject they are interested in. But if you are planning to run a Business based on your Site, then a Free Hosting Site is the same as "Shooting yourself in the Foot". So as I said b4:
if you are not prepared to spend $50 per Month
to Host your Business Site, then you are NOT serious about having any business.

Free hosting services are a good way to start learning the nuances of website design and development. Once you start getting organic traffic of about 1000 visits a month, you can think of a paid hosting service of repute.

Yes, but the face is that Free Hosting services put so many limitations on you that you will rarely if ever will get Big with them. So why not spend $50 per Month and properly host your business. Lets put it this way, if you are not prepared to spend $50 per Month to Host your Business Site, then you are NOT serious about having any business.

Hi nerdey, good post. I am too using a free web hosting services and i am very much satisfied with it. I haven't really got a clear review of the service yet since i don't get much of traffic. I love the idea of free web hosting services has it helps guys like me to start learning the web development with such an interest since they don't cost us. Unlike in app development where we have to pay some amount to get our app registered in the respective stores.

That is why Wall Street is pushing App so much, because the more People use Apps the more Wall Street (aka Apple & Google) will have total control of what you Publish and what you Read and a for ever Tax on everything that you publish as a Software developer or Publisher, whereas on the Web you can post a new Web site for free, well you pay the Hosting fee only, assuming it is not free Hosting.

free hosting services are good for business post card type web sites.
But you will never, for obvious reasons, be able to have a serious Web site on a free hosting service. So the old saying that:
"You get what you pay for..." really applies in this case.

Yep...it´s like you say my friend. A serious website or bussiness must not be hosted in free hosting server in order gain in credibility and stability of our own efforts.

It´s a hosting provider who offers ONLY free hosting: no paid plans. I´ve took a chance and give them a try installing Wordpress. They said that the uptime will be 99.9% but i´ve checked that it was really 99.9% down, no support, no responses to any mail i sent. It was a complete disaster!

Oh well that is really good to know.
Thank you for sharing that Intel. Checking on Google I saw no such Intel about them and was about to sign-up with them, but knowing what your experience has been, I think I will look elsewhere.
Merci.

Free hosting is always limited, And why would you want to limit your freedom on internet when it come to doing business? Limited access in business means limited income. Think about it buddy!

Perhaps not for bussiness but in the beginning i think that free hosting is a choice to test and learn so many techniques to host a blog for example.

Free hosting services are free for a number of reasons...but it all boils to one thing: sucks. Hence why people ought to use legit providers such at www.WWSHosting.net.

Well my friend i´ve found myself with some hosting providers like your3host.com wich really sucks but, for example freehostingue.com is a very serious hosting provider and the free hosting service they provide offers(limited but not despicable) many features that Internet beginners and bloggers may appreciate.

I use weebly.com (free version) and find it useful for my hobbies. I get a reasonable niche traffic too. I update my weebly blog on a regular basis.
