What are Top tips pls for getting high on Google???

I only put my site on google about 4 wks ago. When I type my name it comes up but not for my keywords. Somebody says it takes 6 months to get good ranking if SEO is alright, I've tested mine using Wix and got a green light.
Any other tips to get fast or is it just a waiting game?
