Is my Volunteering website ok? first timer self taught!

I just built my first self taught website for my Volunteering abroad in Kenya to work with orphans and to conservation of Elephants in Sri Lanka.
I would love some feed back if its working and looks ok.
Not finished it yet, but i think I'm about 90% there.
Thanks Mat

I think your Web site is really nice.
But I do not see how your Offering makes good sense! That is why would I want to pay to work for free as a Volunteer? And I am sure to stay in a not so nice a place too. I mean I would rather just send you a Donation rather than pay you to work for free and than pay for my Travel & Lodging too!
I am sorry, maybe it is just me. But I dont get it. I would say change to a Site that is asking for Donation and then use the Donations to pay for People to Travel and Stay in Kenya for free and thus Volunteer to work for free.

To set up and organise volunteer breaks does cost money in a number of ways. We aim to keep our prices competitive while offering a standard of service that is good. The volunteers fee funds both the ground costs in abroad as well as UK office costs. Our host families and various ground staff need to make a profit from our fees to make it worthwhile for them. The funds to all the various people we use abroad is paid directly and is a good amount within the local economy.

Here are some of the hidden costs that have to be covered, donation would not sustain us.
Airport transfers, fuel and cars. Induction and introductions. City tour. Local fees and registrations. Breakfast / evening meals and drinks.(Host family fee). Kenya, Sri lanka staff wages, transport and overnight costs when setting up placements. Use of Future project research funding.Local internet fee, telephone and office rent including electric. Supervision fees to mentors - flights, tax/ legal etc

Well I am just saying that the Business Model does not appeal to me nor do I think to most People, but not of course all. I think a better Model would be one that would be based on Donation, which I would then Donate to you, and then you use our Donations to allow People to work for you for free (aka Volunteer) without asking them then to pay Money. Just MHO.

Of course, your welcome to your view. But we have send over 500 volunteers who have saved and changed life in rural Kenya for 8 years now, from gap years to Doctors, teachers and nurses- built schools, water towers, boats, solar panels in rural areas and much much more. We are v proud that it works,- for us. Im sure you will find an org that does work on a donation basis.

Yes, it is very nice Web site.
And you know I have been thinking of going to Kenya. Could I go to Kenya via your Web site for free by Volunteering to do some work for free? That is can I like Volunteer to work for free like 20 Hours per Week so that I can then travel and stay for free via your Organization?
