Why do some people get scared when they see a mouse?

When we see a small animal like a mouse or spider we become alarmed. it does not make sense when we are much bigger than they are. I don't get it. So why do we get scared when they see a tiny mouse?

The primal instinct of fear of the unknown is a strong one. We also fear that which we cant control. These fears, such the aforementioned and others like fears of snakes, have been scientifically shown in recent studies to be passed down through our DNA through cellular programming and through epigenetics. Our DNA and cellular programming are also pliable, however, and can change according to a persons beliefs. So if they are able to come to terms with and heal those fears then the DNAs encoding will change and it is unlikely that there will be anything to pass on.
Looking at the historical account of how mice/rodents can carry diseases like the black plague and how incredibly deadly certain species of spider are it makes sense that a certain portion of the population would be fearful or possibly develop phobias if the fear was strong enough given how many people have died from these things in the past. Also the association of mice being "dirty" can cause a fear for certain ppl

Especially me ,am one of them ,but i think human has all rights to get scared of those tiny creatures which can potentially harm us simply but dangerously , Human being is bigger but very weak and sensitively delicate. ( Only my Opinion)

Have you ever tried to have a discussion with a mouse? A snake, a spider, a shark? You can't, obviously. We humans have a strong need for control. Especially when it comes to harm. We like to believe that we can use reason to get out of difficult situations. That we can 'talk our way out of' something scary. We can't talk to a mouse or an earthquake or anything that doesn't communicate verbally. There's nothing we can say to a mouse to stop it from biting us if it wants to. That's scary.

We are scared because we immediately imagine that this little animal will crawl at our legs, our arms or worst case at our face. Well, I would prefer a kiss of my lover instead of a mouse!
