Recent posts to this forum have evoked passionate expressions of individual’s personal beliefs regarding several doctrines. Scripture indicates those who have been born again (Jn. 3:3-8; 1Pt. 1:23) are saved (Ac. 15:11; Ro. 5:9; 10:9, 13; 1Co. 3:15) & have passed from death unto eternal life (Jn. 5:24; 1Jn. 3:14). Accordingly, they have begun a “new life” & experienced spiritual birth. Just as natural birth, there is a developmental process of spiritual growth. Scripture speaks of this: “For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have NEED that one teach you again which be the FIRST PRINCIPLES of the oracles of God; & are become such as have need of milk, & not of strong meat. For every one that uses milk is UNSKILLFUL in the word of righteousness: he is a babe. But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of USE have their senses EXERCISED to discern both good & evil” – Heb. 5:12-14. Heb. 6:1-3 specifies these "1st Principles". Why such disagreement about these important foundational doctrines? Is the Body of Christ divided? [1Co. 1:13]
