How Socialized health care cut health care spending by 50%?
How does Government run Socialized health care (NHS) give health care to all while cut health care spending by about 50%? I am confused by how is it that in countries that have NHS they spend 50% less on health care!
Regal, you want to know How Government run Universal Socialized health care (NHS) gives health care to ALL while cut health care spending by 50%?
The Answer has many parts to it:
1- Under NHS because health care companies are run on not for profit basis, they do NOT pay 100s of Billions in dividends to their Wall Street share holders as is the case in USA with many health care companies being publicly traded such as United Health Care (NYSE Stock Symbol: UNH)
2- Under NHS people involved with health care are not able to make more than 250K per year, still a very good salary since it is more than what 95% of Americans make. So for example whereas current Governor of Florida made $72-Million from health care under NHS he would have made no such 10s of Millions of Dollars.
3- Early prevention costs MUCH LESS.

Did you actually write that:
"Americans have become spoiled to the government handouts "
When USA does NOT have Government run Socialized health care (NHS) , something that Europeans, Canadians. Israelis, etc. HAVE?
As a result of which while they get health care for FREE, free for the Taxes that they pay, they spend 50% LESS on health care costs! While Americans get NO FREE health care from our Government, free for the Taxes that we pay, and instead have to pay $10,000+ per year for health care on top of the Taxes that we pay!
I am not sure Socialized medicine is the answer to USA healthcare issues. Americans have become spoiled to the government handouts and feel this is a requirement not a privilege. The middle class of working people who have to pay for their health insurance, deductibles and other costs pay for the politicians and welfare through taxes. So why would the politicians or the lower class want any changes?
