An issue that is central to AnooX search results is the prevention of Voter fraud, that
is preventing unscrupulous people from signing up for multiple voting accounts and
voting repeatedly for the same keywords rather than being limited to the 1 Man/Woman -
1 Vote - per Keyword principle of Democratic voting which is a key factor in AnooX
search results being more accurate than any other search engine.
AnooX addresses this critical concern in two ways:
- Pre-signup checks to prevent multiple sign-up
- Post-signup pattern matching checks to catch fraudulent Votes
|
|
Using a variety of means from email checking, to Cookies, to IP checking and others, AnooX
Voting member sign-up system attempts to prevent any multiple sign-ups by the same person.
|
|
Since a voting member must log into their AnooX voting member account before they can vote, we are aware of each voting
members identity & activity. As a result using sophisticated pattern matching techniques we are able to
flag out any
voting member that is voting more than once for a given keyword, or engaging in SPAM like or frivolus
voting. In the event we detect such duplicate or SPAM like voting we will then immediately terminate
that voting members account and as a result all their fraudulent votes will be taken back and rendered
null and void.

|
In summary, although no system can claim to be 100% fail/safe proof, specially an open system like the AnooX voting system, given our fraud prevention steps to stop fraudulently issued votes, the instances of actual fraudulently issued votes occurring are so rare as to be statistically insignificant.
