Why is AnooX giving 50% of its profits for Universal Health Care & Education?

Few things are more essential to the well being of a society than affordable and reliable access to Health Care & Education. On that note, there is a real crisis in USA regarding access to Health care:

  1. 46 Million, and increasing, Americans have no Health coverage at all
  2. Of those that do have Health insurance many find that when they actually need health care that their insurance providers will drop their coverage or deny them coverage for one reason after another, or charge them hefty deductibles and co-pays, all to maximize profits.
As a result great many Americans are not getting the health care that they need, leading to shorter life expectancies, and great many more are going bankrupt due to the exorbitant health care costs. OTOH, in places such as Canada and Europe where Health care is operated on a "Not Profit Motivated" basis, they do have Universal Health care, and as a result their citizens enjoy high quality and free Health care, well free for the Taxes that they pay. And they pay almost the same Taxes in Canada and Europe as people pay in USA.

 FAQ About Universal Health Care

1) Wouldn’t Universal Health Care = socialisim and thus lead to economic stagnation?

No. Not at all. All you have to do is to look at the European and Canadians whom have Universal Health Care and their economies are doing much better than the US economy as evident by the ever falling US Dollar compared to Euro or Canadian Dollar, as evident by Housing price declines in many parts of US while House prices are robustly going higher in most European & Canadian cities, etc.

2) Wouldn’t Universal Health Care mean higher Taxes?

No. All you have to do is to look at European and Canadians who on average pay the same or lower Taxes than the people in US pay. But the Key to providing Universal Health Care without Tax increases is that Health Care needs to be provided by organizations that are not driven by profit motivations, again as is the case with European and Canadians Health care systems.

3) Doesn’t Universal Health Care mean long wait to get medical care?

Well 1st if you have no Health care coverage as is the case in USA for 46Mill and counting, then waiting long time to get health care is much better than never getting it. 2nd this is a myth created by the Big media and their Big Health care Advertisers that the European and Canadians wait long time to get health care, in fact the wait at typical European and Canadians hospital is same or shorter than US hospitals (see movie Sicko for sample Hospital wait rooms in Canada or UK).

4) Don’t some people in UK opt for private Health care?

Sure some do. And it is great that in UK they have this choice. But they have it along with Universal Health Care and 99% of UK citizens opt for the Universal Health Care.

5) Isn’t the problem with US that people have the wealth to eat to be obese?

As the last and the most desperate argument against Universal Health Care, some argue that the problem with Health care in USA is not the lack of Universal (free for Taxes already paid) Health care but that Americans are too fat because they have too much wealth and choose to eat too much! And that to have Universal health care would by definition mean that we would have to limit the eating choices of Americans, and limiting choices and wealth of American people would be well "un-American"!! This argument is the best indication of how intellectually bankrupt those who are against Universal Health Care are that they would resort to such non-sense, putting it mildly. American people are getting fat because they are eating cheap fast food from the likes of MacDonald (see Super Size Me) rather than the high quality, and more expensive food, that you find at fine dinning establishments. And one of the reasons that they are eating cheap fast food that makes them fat is because they are made poor due to lack of Universal health care. And also American people are getting fat because they do not get as much time off for Vacations and leisure as typical European and Canadians get. More over typical European cities are conducive to walking and biking to work or play, whereas in US most cities are made for cars only, making walking and biking, which are key elements to not getting fat, to good heath, very difficult at best.
